Amsterdam, October 24-25-26 (Fri-Sat-Sun), 2014
This is the annual International Conference on Blender, held in Amsterdam since 2002, when Blender was released as a Free/Open Source project. For the sixth time it will be hosted in De Balie again, a wonderful 19th century former court, a famous conference center and theater right in the heart of Amsterdam.
The three day conference program - to be announced mid September - will have a mix of talks and classes by film and game makers, animators, 2D/3D artists, university researchers, developers and companies presenting case studies.
Registration for the conference is only open via the Blender e-shop. Badges and invoices will be available for pick-up at the conference itself.
Registration fees give access to all events and are including drinks (coffee, tea, water) and daily lunch.
3-day pass: 129 EUR
1-day pass 65 EUR
Saturday evening dinner: 29 EUR
More information about the conference here.
Registration fees have to be paid in advance, or can be paid on-site. For on-site payment you also have to subscribe via this e-shop system.
All fees for the conference are to cover direct expenses (like venue rental and lunches) for the Blender Conference. Blender Foundation sponsors the conference for the remaining part of the total expenses.
This year the kitchen staff of De Balie will make us dinner in the grand cafe - reserved entirely for us! We\'ll start with a variation of smaller snacks, main course is their signature platter with a hamburger and fries - or a vegetarian dish, as desert we\'ll get fruit pie. Dinner includes three drinks (beer, wine or sodas).
Note: there is enough space for nearly all conference visitors saturday to get dinner. If you want to join dinner still, tickets will be for sale at the desk.
